The legacy that Henderson House boasts in 40 years…
The legacy that Henderson House boasts in 40 years of service and shelter for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Yamhill County, Oregon is profound.
When we collected the data to represent these decades of service, we were stunned: 74,361 nights of shelter provided, 6,111 individuals sheltered, and 28,497 crisis calls answered.
But, more than these numbers, we know first-hand the powerful stories of transformation and hope that they represent. We shared messages from our Board Treasurer Bev Knutz, a former client Fawn Hogue, and from our Program Manager Amanda Brooks to convey the deep impact that Henderson House has had over the past 40 years.
For the month of October 2021, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we invited our community to give in support of Henderson House through a raffle, an online auction and direct contributions. We are so moved by the generous response to this call for support, even in such difficult times as these. With your help, we were able to raise over $12,000 for services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Yamhill County.
We are so grateful for your support and for all of our 40 Years of Hope event partners.
