Candlelight Vigil Recap

Contributed by: Rachel Flores, Henderson House Development Director

This past Thursday, Henderson House supporters gathered in the Edward J. Gormley Civic Plaza to hear from McMinnville Downtown Association Executive Director and McMinnville School Board Member Doris Towery and Henderson House Board Member Terri Brewer share their stories of overcoming abuse, building lives free of violence, how they have chosen to live lives in service to others, and why Henderson House is a vital resource to survivors.

McMinnville Community Media generously gave their time and talents to capture what was shared that night, which is available to view on Youtube.

If you were not able to join us, please take some time to view this video, reflect on what was shared, and consider how you might be able to support survivors this month. We’ve made it simple and fun by offering a free event passport/raffle and a spectacular online auction that benefits Henderson House (more details can be found below). Henderson House is sustained through the support of passionate community members, like you. Thank you!
