Core Advocacy Training

Henderson House offers in-person Core Advocacy Trainings that are open to the public and designed to equip our volunteers to serve survivors knowledgeably and in a trauma-informed manner.

We have an acute need for volunteers to help cover our 24-hour crisis phone line, providing direct support services over the phone. These vitally important volunteers will take calls in shifts (5pm – 9am on weekdays and over weekends), on a rotating basis and our staff advocates will provide back-up and follow-up response to the calls received by volunteers.

Participants are asked to commit to attending all training sessions in the series. Trainings are held at our Advocacy Center (610 SE 1st St., McMinnville, OR 97128). Light refreshments will be provided. Childcare is not offered at this time.

Complete the simple registration form below to register for an upcoming training. Volunteer Coordinator Trudy Siderius  will reply to the email provided with your registration confirmation and details about upcoming trainings.
