James Howe

James Howe (she/her) is a musician, dancer, writer, community builder, advocate for the arts, outdoor explorer, seeker and creator of beautiful things, live music and theater enthusiast and she passes for a human most days (but only after 10 a.m.).  James is also a cofounder of Make Music McMinnville, a member of the McMinnville Downtown Association Committee for Public Art, singer and flutist for the local band, Sunstone Council, and former editor in chief of CRUSH arts & culture publication (RIP).

James and her family relocated to McMinnville from Wyoming in 2009.  Some of James’s favorite McMinnville memories include playing flute in Second Winds Community Band, performing on the stage (and serving on the board of directors) at Gallery Theater, writing music and performing as part of the local duo, Luminous Heart, volunteering with Zero Waste McMinnville, and serving our community through her roles at the McMinnville Downtown Association and Visit McMinnville.
